 Allan Morgan:

Allan Morgan began his career as an illustrator in publishing after graduating with a BA Honours in Fine Art. He worked for some of the major British publishing houses before drifting back to his first love of painting. His professional painting career has focused on realistic landscape paintings. Allan’s inspiration comes from his love of light, colour, and atmosphere, with coastal paintings having spent years living close to the coast in the past. Allan gained recognition incredibly quickly, due to his very distinctive style and detail in his painting.

Carla Raads:

Carla Raads is an emerging talent that has been on our radar for a while now and we are so excited to be representing her at the gallery. Carla is a true beach girl at heart and was born and raised on the Eastern Cape coast of South Africa and spent every day amongst the sand and waves. At 16 she would leave South Africa in search of a new life in the UK. Always drawn to the sea, she and her family settled on the Fylde coast. “I was grateful to live near the sea, the familiarity of the beach made it feel more like home.” Carla went on to study fine art at Blackpool college, learning about life drawing, paint, and sculpture before studying design and interiors at Manchester metropolitan university. During that time, she would work under the mentorship of the late Phillippe Arid at the Phoenix galleries in Hulme. Her mentor, an abstract artist known for his resin pouring work, was mentored by LS Lowry and he drew inspiration from his work. Phil, as she called him, taught the 19 year old Carla about canvas building, large scale abstracts and paint techniques. “He was so free with his painting. He would let the work come alive by allowing the paint to move organically. The best thing he ever taught me.”

Gary Sams is a British artist who now lives and paints in Alicante, Spain. Gary was born in Surrey and moved further South to Poole Dorset when he was 5 years old. His earliest memories of art were drawing dinosaurs and constantly making marks and scribbling on whatever he could find, which led his parents to buying him a set of paints, and he never looked back. So, crayons, chalk developed into pastels, poster paints, then oils, and then eventually watercolour. When he turned 19, he attended the Arts Institute in Bournemouth from 1994-97 where he studied Illustration. There Gary learned a variety of techniques and mediums, and gained experience, including 3 years of life drawing which he very much enjoyed.

Gary McNanara:

Gary McNamara has a phenomenally successful graphics and illustration, background covering the last thirty years. From the age of 23yrs, Gary has worked freelance as a commercial illustrator for many of the biggest publishing houses in the world, focusing mostly on extremely well-known children's characters and mythical magical imagery. More recently, Gary has concentrated more on his figurative Asian painting, exploring, and experimenting with various mediums to create depth and movement in his work. His latest acrylic and mixed media works demonstrate his idea to bring the beauty of nature together with more figurative work. His paintings translate beautifully into Limited Edition prints, the 3D elements adding to the depth created by Gary in the original pieces and the high gloss resin finish brings the whole piece to life, just as Gary McNamara intended.

Ruby Keller:

Ruby Keller is from Blackburn Lancashire. Creates dynamic abstract and wildlife paintings using mostly pastel as it lends itself very well to the textures he paints, although sometimes uses oil and other mediums too. Although Keller showed early artistic talent, he trained as an electrician when he left school and only painted in his spare time. Five years later he made the change to painting on a full-time basis, developing his own distinctive style. Self-taught, Ruby Keller is a pseudonym name under which Peter Worswick paints. This has enabled him to explore and develop distinctive styles aside from his highly regarded figurative and landscape paintings. Using pastels allows Keller to create wildlife paintings that combine both rich and delicate colours along with multiplex of textures. These experimental images proved to be an instant success and he has been invited to exhibit at prestigious galleries throughout the UK. Keller himself has said ‘an artist’s work must stay fresh, so he constantly needs innovative ideas. Evolution happens naturally as you strive to improve.

Tom Shore:

Artist Tom Shore has lived in the Yorkshire Dales all his life. Self-taught, he keeps the colour simple using minimum amount and likes to create a painting on textured canvas or board. Styling his quirky houses with influences of Steam Punk, Shore picks out moments of British idiosyncrasies, with post boxes adding flashes of character and colour. His work adds a touch of mystery and humour with the wonky house a consistent feature. Working from his studio overlooking the beautiful Dales, peace and quietness inspires Tom to create such work
